Over the past few days we have been getting several emails from users reporting a problems with Windows Vista. The primary problem being reported is that users go to create their member name and then they get an access violation error.
If you are receiving any errors when trying to login to your AVpod user name or when creating a new account and you are on Windows Vista, you most likely havent set the program to run in Windows XP (Service Pack 2) mode. You will also need to run the program as an administrator.
Below is more detailed instructions on what to do before connecting to AVpod when on Windows Vista:
If you are using Windows Vista and having a problem connecting to AVpod, do the following steps.
After you download the client simply right click on the AVpod Chat icon on your desktop and click properties. Once you are on properties click the compatibility tab and run the program in compatibility mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 2). Next check run this program as an administrator and click apply and ok. You should now be able to connect.
